"Landscape with reptiles and insects (I)" is a painting painted by the baroque saksa kunstnik Johann Adalbert Angermayer in 1740. The artwork was made with the size: 77 x 62 cm - frame dimensions: 101 x 86 x 8 cm and was painted on the medium oil on canvas. "Signed on the back of the lizard on the tree trunk: ANGER MEYER: F" was the artpiece's inscription. Today, this work of art is included in the digital collection of Vaatetorn asub Viin, Austria. This painting and its counterpart (Inv 1454) provide an interface between lifes and landscape painting and are characteristic of the last decade of life of Johann Adalbert Angermayer. Among the highly accurate reproduced animals are among others a fence lizard, grass snake and various butterflies - Scarce Swallowtail, Small Tortoiseshell, cabbage white, Bluebird and pine moth - to recognize.
